The board game Fortunes of Scoundrel Bay transports you to the islands of Scoundrel Bay. In this setting, full of treasures and dangers, players assume the role of pirate captains who try to collect as many gold coins as possible. Players conquer ports, search for hideouts, deliver crates, hunt for treasures, and gain fame by battling monsters.
During the game, each player develops their crew to unlock more powerful actions, such as treasure hunting, raiding hideouts, and picking up and delivering crates. In each round, the player can play one card from their hand and choose one of the three available actions: approaching ships, fighting monsters, or raiding.
It is forbidden to select the same action used in the previous round. The deck includes 84 unique cards, which can be used with all three actions. After each of the five reefs, an event must be resolved and food provided for the crew. The game ends as soon as a captain passes the fifth reef.
