Instructions for use:

1. Wash your hands before using the medication or nebulizer.
2. Connect one end of the hose to the air outlet of the compressor or air source.
3. Connect the other end of the hose to the base of the medicine container.
4. Remove the cap from the medicine container.
5. Pour the prescribed medication into the medicine container, filling between 2 - 10 mL.
6. Screw the cap back onto the medicine container and attach the mouthpiece or mask.

Medication management:

• For therapy management, sit upright and relax.
• Turn on the compressor; the airflow should be 6 - 8 L/min.
• Check that the aerosol is visible coming from the mouthpiece/mask.
• Hold the mouthpiece between your teeth (if used), seal your lips around it, and breathe slowly in and out through the mouth OR place the mask over your nose and mouth and breathe slowly through the mouth.

When the SideStream begins to operate intermittently and makes a "gurgling" sound, the treatment is complete. It is not necessary to nebulize every drop of medication, as a small amount remains in the container.

The SideStream nebulizer with SideStream technology is particularly efficient because it is designed to absorb more air through an active Venturi system, resulting in faster medication delivery in a shorter treatment time. Therefore, the active Venturi system provides additional airflow beyond that supplied by the compressor, increasing treatment efficiency and reducing drug delivery time.

The SideStream active Venturi system improves aerosol production, ensuring that 77% of the drug delivery volume is below 5 micrometers. This system is designed with five jet holes instead of one to produce aerosols, providing extra airflow and speeding up treatment time. The SideStream container can deliver 2.5 mL of medication in 7 minutes.

Cleaning (after each use):

• Disconnect the SideStream from the hose. Remove the cap from the medicine container, rinse the nebulizer, and fill it with clean water. Reattach the cap to the medicine container, reconnect the hose, and run the SideStream for a few seconds to remove any residue from the nebulizer holes.
• Remove the nebulizer.
• Disconnect the hose from the medicine container.
• Wash all parts (except the hose) with warm water and soap.
• Rinse all parts with clean water for 2 minutes.
• Remove excess water by shaking and let dry in the air.
• Do not dry with a towel.
• Reassemble the SideStream and store it in a clean place when not in use.
