The player takes on the role of first-year student Doppo Akazawa, who has joined the Mystery Research Club. The club’s first mission leads them to Narumizawa to investigate the thirty-year-old murder case of a famous landscape painter.

Although irregularities were found and the main suspect was reported to have committed suicide, the case was closed. However, Doppo has something the investigators thirty years ago did not: the ability to travel back in time. Unexpected new clues are revealed as you use your secret ability to examine the past, seeing critical objects and events in a new light.
