This edition includes the two string trios by Max Reger, as well as Mozart's "Divertimento" in E-flat major KV 563 and Beethoven's string trios, Op. 9. These works are considered masterpieces of the genre. Reger refers to the classical masters he admires, with a classical character that defines both trios, which have a relaxed and sometimes even pleasant nature. The works were presented with great success in 1904 and 1915, respectively. For the edition of these works, Reger expert Michael Kube had access to both the autograph and the first edition. This edition of the scores is published simultaneously with the text-identical score edition in the Henle Studien-Edition series (HN 9722).
