The Akyga® AK-EC-20 is an electric car charger designed for vehicles located in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It features a BS 1363 (G) plug, also known as the British plug, ensuring full compatibility with the electrical systems of these countries.

The AK-EC-20 charger is equipped with the popular IEC 62196-2 Type 2 connector, commonly known as Mennekes. This is the most widely used electric vehicle charger on the European market, ensuring compatibility with almost every available electric car. User convenience is enhanced by the 5-meter cable, making it easy to connect to the power source.

At the heart of the charger is the ControlBox, which provides real-time information about the charging status and displays important data on the LCD screen, such as current charging rate, voltage, power consumption, device temperature, and charging time. The device allows adjustment of the charging current with options of 8 A, 10 A, and 13 A, enabling adaptation to the capabilities of the electrical installation and the vehicle's specifications.

The AK-EC-20 charger is designed for efficient operation even under difficult conditions, as confirmed by the IP54 certification. Its robust construction guarantees protection from dust and moisture, which is critical for safety and long-term use.

Built-in safety systems, including OVP, OCP, OPP, OTP, and SCP, provide comprehensive protection for both the charger and the vehicle being charged, ensuring protection from overcurrent, overvoltage, overload, overheating, and short circuits.
