Description

The Mavic Crossmax 27.5" front wheel is designed for cross-country riding. It combines technologies found on professional XC race wheels, providing a reliable product at an affordable price. Strong and compatible with tubeless-ready tire systems, the Mavic Crossmax wheel is known for its dependability. One of its key technologies is UST, which makes installing tubeless tires easier, offering benefits such as better grip, lower risk of punctures, smoother riding, and greater control.

The rim is made from Maxtal, a proprietary aluminum alloy by Mavic that offers increased durability. Thanks to the arc welding and the 25 mm width of the rim, the wheel is exceptionally reliable.

The improved distribution of forces in the Crossmax wheel is achieved through the Straight Pull spoke system. This makes the wheel even stiffer, resulting in better responsiveness of the bicycle during sharp turns. Double-sealed bearings ensure smooth operation with no maintenance needed for thousands of kilometers.

The wheel is compatible with disc brakes using a 6-bolt mounting system. Additionally, the Mavic Crossmax 27.5 comes with a rim tape installed for protection.

Specifications:

  • QRM - Mavic Bearing Quality: The latest double-sealed bearings allow smooth operation without maintenance for thousands of kilometers.
  • UST - Universal Tubeless Standard: Increases comfort, reduces rolling resistance, and lowers the risk of punctures.
  • Maxtal: A special, proprietary aluminum alloy by Mavic that offers increased strength relative to weight.
  • SUP - Soude Usine Process: Means stronger and smoother joints. After bending, the rim is welded and then finished for a smooth surface.

Mavic's history, originating from France, dates back to 1890. Initially producing curtains, in 1926 Mavic revolutionized the bicycle industry by introducing the first aluminum rim. Since then, the company has been known for producing high-quality wheels. The iconic black logo on a yellow background is directly associated with the Tour de France. Who hasn't seen the support vehicle with the Mavic logo supporting the peloton since 1973 in the world's most prestigious cycling race? The company holds many patents and offers a wide range of products for mountain biking, road cycling, and triathlon.
