The Akyga® AK-EC-18 charger is a single-phase charger for electric cars. It allows vehicles with a Type 1 connector to be charged using a standard household socket. The electric car charger is equipped with a Schuko socket (CEE 7/7), which is used in many European countries, making the charger a practical and universal solution for users of older electric vehicles or those imported from abroad.

The AK-EC-18 charger features a 5-meter cable, offering great flexibility when connecting the vehicle for charging. Combined with the charger's compact design, this device is an ideal support option for electric car owners.

At the heart of the charger is an easy-to-use ControlBox, responsible for monitoring and displaying the current charging parameters on an LCD screen. Among other things, it shows charging current, voltage, power, energy consumed, charger temperature, and charging time. In addition, the user can adjust the charging power by selecting one of the available current values (8 A, 10 A, 13 A, 16 A), with a maximum charging power of 3.8 kW.

The charger also features extensive protections (OVP, OCP, OPP, OTP, SCP) that protect both the device and the car battery from damage. Additionally, the casing includes a handle, allowing convenient hanging of the charger, e.g., in a garage.
