The Dartmoor Reel Pro Singlespeed v.2 rear hub is a high-performance MTB component designed for dirt/street bikes with single-speed transmission systems. Main features:
- Extremely lightweight: Weighs between 390 and 405 grams.
- Standard QR support: Available with 10x135 or 9x135 dimensions and mounts on frames with horizontal dropouts.
- Features holes for 32 spokes and a 6-bolt disc brake mount.
The Pro version stands out from the cassette body by having a modified design with 6 independent pawls, each with 6 separate double springs, and a wider ratchet disc, activated 72 times per wheel rotation. This system is durable and provides immediate response to hub movement, ensuring secure locking before any jump.
In terms of materials, the axle is made from standard forged aluminum AL 6061-T6 and is based on a 15mm aluminum axle AL 7075-T6, secured with 3/8" Cr-Mo chromoly bolts. It includes four high-quality sealed bearings with selected dense and waterproof synthetic Mobil grease and LLU full-contact Dartmoor logo seals. External seals are protected by durable AL 7075-T6 aluminum caps, ensuring protection from harsh weather conditions.
On the disc brake side, there are two 6902 bearings, while on the freehub side, there is one 15267 bearing and one 6902. The AL6061-T6 alloy is an aluminum alloy that has undergone heat treatment and contains magnesium and silicon, valued for its corrosion resistance and good mechanical properties.
Anodizing of the aluminum is an electrochemical process that creates a surface oxide layer, providing greater hardness and corrosion resistance. The result is a smooth and shiny surface, ideal for demanding mountain biking conditions.
The AL7075-T6, known as aerospace aluminum, is a heat-treated alloy containing zinc, magnesium, and copper, recognized for its high strength and excellent machinability.
