The Longer Ray5 miniS laser engraver uses a 2.5 W laser diode with a wavelength of 450 nm for engraving leather, wood, MDF, acrylic, and Plexiglass. Its 130 × 140 mm work area and engraving speed of up to 12,000 mm/min are suited to small projects and objects. The beam measures 0.04 × 0.04 mm, and engraving accuracy is 0.04 mm.

The engraver has an aluminum-alloy body and comes pre-assembled. Focusing is done with a 2 mm-thick block. For operation, it supports USB or Wi-Fi connectivity, a mobile app, and LaserGRBL or LightBurn software. Once the file has been transferred, it can operate offline. The enclosure, door sensor, limit switches, emergency stop button, and smoke-extraction fan support its operation.
