Before this product, I had spent €80 on another brand's shredder, which worked only twice and then broke. I exchanged it with the warranty, but the new one broke immediately. I decided to spend more money and get something of higher quality, and I found the HP shredder. When I destroyed the first papers, I couldn't believe my ears! Quiet and efficient, with a beautiful design and easy operation. I don't regret at all that I paid almost double the money, and I enjoy it every day.

One week of use and it got stuck 10 times and I had to explain
The paper gets tangled inside the blades both from above and below.
I tried various tricks to make it work again because I am on an island and it's not easy
to get it serviced anywhere.
The golden rule was to put 2 sheets at a time and clean it top to bottom every 5 minutes.
Of course, almost every time the bin fills up I use the oil and the special paper
which, even though not cheap.
With 4 sheets and more it struggles a lot, you can hear it struggling.
With experience, you understand from the sound it makes when it struggles that it needs oil.

    While the shredder generally does its job well, it has broken down on me twice. The first time it stopped turning on, even though I had only used it three times (and had turned it off properly). They replaced it for me as it was probably faulty. Now it has a terrible paper jam, which happened during its maintenance, with the special oil sheet provided by the company! As soon as I set it to reverse (according to the instructions), it pushed various papers upwards and then stopped taking in the papers I put in. Although the blades seem to be moving, nothing happens. Very good quality, in the end.

From the official service in Germany (WSG), we were told that we should have inserted up to 4 or 6 pages (even though the limit is 8) and use it for a maximum of 4 minutes every hour, as more use heats it up and burns the plastic gears.
