Let Almopia remain in our hearts as it is, a historical reality, a defender of Hellenism. The past and the history of its inhabitants should become a barrier to questioning our ethnic roots. Let's claim this distant, ancient fortress of the Greek race to become one of the primary places and spaces of Rhoiosynergy.

This research is not based on the history or myth of a state or an ethnos, but more broadly on the historical course of ethnocultural groups that lived extensively in Macedonia. After the death of Alexander the Great, the conquest of the Macedonian kingdom by the Romans, and the creation of the Byzantine Empire, there were mass population movements. Everyone sought opportunities for better working conditions, living standards, and stability. This continued even after the Ottoman conquest of Macedonia, resulting in the gradual formation of many ethnic enclaves, which, among other things, brought linguistic and cultural changes.

This publication is dedicated to the 100 years of the union of Almopia with Greece and to the fierce struggles, the unmatched courage of the native Greeks of the region. To those who showed the way, claimed, and achieved what seemed impossible, always guided by the unbreakable truth that Almopia and Macedonia are Greece. To those who, due to various causes and events, were deprived of their ancestral language. Today, 100 years later, the significance of the struggles that led to the historic union is of undeniable value.
