The only thing that concerned me is that the plates heat up quite a lot, which I consider normal since hot air passes through them, and I don't know what kind of damage it may cause to the hair. Overall, though, I am satisfied, a good purchase.

I definitely recommend it! It saves a lot of time since until now I used to dry my hair with a hairdryer and then straighten it with a flat iron. At first, I use it like a hairdryer since it blows air when you close it, and then I use it on my hair normally like a straightener. I suggest also using the cold setting at the end for a better result. The hair looks more natural afterwards compared to a regular flat iron with plates.
