Starwax professional-strength drain unblocker gel works on completely blocked drains in washbasins, showers, bathtubs and kitchen sinks. Its thick formula penetrates standing water and reaches the blockage, where the caustic soda dissolves hair, grease, food residue and soap. It also helps eliminate unpleasant odours caused by organic residue in the pipe.
To use, slowly pour half a bottle into the drain and leave it to work for about 30 minutes; for stubborn blockages, it can be left overnight. Then flush the drain with plenty of cold water. Wear plastic gloves. Do not mix with other chemicals or use in aluminium pipes, cesspits or septic tanks. It is extremely corrosive, causes severe skin burns and eye damage, and must be kept out of the reach of children. It does not damage the enamel on sanitary ware or melt PVC plastic pipes.
