The processing of the archives was the catalyst for clarifying aspects of social activity, outlining trade relations and collaborations, as well as the cultural state prevailing in Imathia during this specific period. These facts allow us to approach the way of life and living conditions of the inhabitants.

The book essentially serves as a presentation of Imathia, with the ultimate goal of highlighting it and contributing to the promotion of research, filling a gap in studies related to the area during this specific period. The research data lead to reliable and well-documented conclusions, whose analysis primarily addresses a series of research questions, such as: a) identifying and fully documenting the administrative region of Veria, including the cities, districts, villages, and settlements, as well as the authorities established there, b) providing a detailed presentation of the economic, social, and cultural data, along with their comparative examination and evaluation, c) depicting the educational situation in the province, with a comprehensive record of all schools and a presentation of all teaching staff serving in the Veria educational district, d) analyzing the demographic changes that occurred with the settlement of refugees and the departure of the Muslim population, as well as the challenges faced by the refugees during that period.
