The connector facilitates the connection of radios equipped with an ISO connection to the car's factory sound system. In many cases, the connector installed in the car is not ISO, which causes problems when connecting an aftermarket radio. The solution to this problem is either to modify the wiring during the installation of the radio and the car or to use an adapter, which is simple to use. The installation of the adapter involves two steps:
- Connecting the adapter to the car's wiring
- Connecting the adapter to the radio's wiring
