The transformer allows the connection of radios (equipped with an ISO socket) to the factory audio system of the car. In many cases, the socket installed in the car is not an ISO socket, which causes a problem when connecting an aftermarket radio. The solution to this problem can be either modifying the wiring on the radio and the car installation or using an adapter, which is ready to use. Installing the adapter involves two steps:
- Connecting the adapter to the car installation
- Connecting the adapter to the radio installation
