The adapter allows the connection of radios with an ISO connection to the car's factory sound system. In many cases, the connector installed in the car is not ISO, which makes it difficult to connect an aftermarket radio. The solution to this problem is either to modify the wiring of the radio and the car installation or to use an adapter, which is plug and play. Installing the adapter involves two steps:
- Connecting the adapter to the car's wiring
- Connecting the adapter to the radio's wiring
