The connector allows the connection of radios (equipped with an ISO connector) to the factory sound system of the car. In many cases, the connector installed in the car is not an ISO connector, which makes it difficult to connect an aftermarket radio. The solution to this problem is either to modify the wiring during the installation of the radio and the car or to use an adapter, which is plug and play. Installing the adapter involves two steps:
- Connecting the adapter to the car's wiring
- Connecting the adapter to the radio's wiring
