The ISO car connector allows the connection of radios equipped with an ISO connector to the factory sound system of the car. In many cases, the connector installed in the car is not ISO, which creates a problem when connecting an aftermarket radio. The solution to this problem is to modify the wiring of either the radio or the car installation, or to use an adapter, which is plug and play. The installation of the adapter involves two steps:
- Connecting the adapter to the car's wiring
- Connecting the adapter to the radio's wiring
