The Node MKI is a pre-assembled Meshtastic device that offers off-grid communication by utilizing LoRa technology. It comes with pre-installed Meshtastic firmware, is durable, has a long battery life, and requires no assembly – it is ready to use straight out of the box.

Range and operation

• With line of sight: up to ~5 km.
• In urban environments: 100 m – 1 km.

The device functions simultaneously as a transmitter and signal repeater, thereby extending the range of the entire mesh network. It supports the exchange of text messages and location information.

The Node MKI is ideal for:

• Outdoor activities (hiking, mountaineering, etc.)
• Emergency preparedness (natural disasters, network outages)
• Other activities where traditional mobile networks are unavailable

It is worth noting that Meshtastic integration with ATAK-CIV is supported, creating a powerful solution for off-grid situational awareness and team coordination, especially useful in remote areas, disaster zones, or scenarios where conventional networks are non-functional.
