The series aims to bring readers into initial contact not only with the works of great authors but also with the era in which they excelled, as well as to shed light on those events in their lives that shaped their temperament and, consequently, their personal style.

It offers the general public condensed knowledge on various topics related to the lives of great literary figures. Through its pages, unique aspects, episodes, and anecdotes of their lives and works unfold in a straightforward manner. These are not strictly “academic” studies – that distinction belongs to theorists and scholars of world literature – nor are they simplified or popularized approaches.

Each short biography is based on reliable sources from Greek and foreign literature and the extensive personal study of the respective author, ensuring its completeness.
