Malifaux, a twisted mirror of an alternate Earth in 1900, is a world of gothic horror, Victorian structures, steampunk craftsmanship, and Wild West firearms. Filled with mortal factions, orchestrated revenge displays, and other creatures that haunt the night, these almost lawless regions are worth exploring for some, as the Soulstones deep within the somber catacombs are more valuable than the sweat and blood required to obtain them.

To the east of the city of Malifaux lies the Bayou, an expansive swamp with open marshlands, flooded wetlands, and hog ranching areas. Under the branches lives a Gremlin society built from various materials, mimicking important aspects of humanity such as alcohol production, weapon usage, and generally causing concern within society. The Bayou is a chaotic place, and its inhabitants will do whatever it takes to maintain this state.
