The Petanque game by Geologic, Zola®, includes 8 metal balls and a storage case. It is a French outdoor game that can be played anywhere, whether in urban areas or in nature, by the seaside or in the garden, regardless of the weather.

The game supports 1 to 6 players and is ideal for groups seeking an outdoor activity that requires no physical effort but is fun and engaging.

Rules:

• The game can be played in three ways: 1 versus 1 (Tete a tete), 2 versus 2 (Double), or 3 versus 3 (Triple).
• Players use metal balls and a wooden target ball.
• The team that starts the game is chosen by a draw, and a player selects the throwing point, drawing a circle with a diameter of 35-50 cm.
• The first player throws the target ball at a distance of 6-10 meters.
• The player attempts to place their first metal ball as close as possible to the target ball.
• The opponent then tries to place their ball closer than the first.
• Teams alternate turns until a ball is positioned closer to the target ball.
• At the end of the game, points are scored based on the balls that are closer to the target ball.

For easy identification, the metal balls have different engraved markings. A Petanque set can be found in sporting goods stores or online and includes 6 or 8 heavy metal balls and a small wooden target ball.
