Enabling participation in education and ensuring educational equity are considered among the most important societal tasks today. Against this background, the anthology, which emerged from the "Future Educational Opportunities" conference held in September 2021 by the Center for Teacher Education (ZfL) at the University of Cologne, addresses both the origins of educational inequalities and the solutions and concepts for schools and universities that can create educational opportunities in the present and future.
