This box set is perfect to start a new collection of Armies of Grand Cathay or to expand an existing army for use in Warhammer: The Old World battles. Led by two Astromancers, one foot soldier and one mounted on a Cathayan Warhorse, these reinforcements are well-supported by magic. The majority of the force consists of Peasant Levy, who can overwhelm even tough opponents with their numbers. The Crane Gun teams and Iron Hail Gunners add considerable firepower, capable of pulling any enemy from a distance.

The miniatures in this set offer a degree of customization. The Astromancers have options for two heads and two weapons for their right hands. Each Peasant Levy can be armed with either a bow or a long spear. There are parts to assemble up to three optional champions—each with choices of two heads, three optional musicians, and three optional standard bearers. There are 72 heads, including bald and hat-wearing options. The heads, hats, sheaths, and weapons are all interchangeable on the bodies.

This set includes 696 plastic components, 1x Citadel 30mm x 60mm Rectangular Base, 8x Citadel 50mm x 25mm Rectangular Bases, and 44x Citadel 25mm Square Bases. These miniatures require assembly and come unpainted—Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints are recommended.
