Mercola 1942 pool paint is a two-component polyurethane coating based on aliphatic polyurethane. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor swimming pools, water tanks, fountains, and other water features, on concrete, cement mortar, and metal surfaces. It resists water, seawater, swimming pool cleaning chemicals, ultraviolet radiation, abrasion, and mechanical wear.
Application requires proper surface preparation and two coats on new surfaces. Apply with a brush, roller, or spray gun and thin by up to 10% with DIL X 100. At 23°C, it is touch-dry in 6–8 hours, but requires 7–14 days to cure fully before filling with water. Clean tools immediately after use with DIL X 100 or with soap and water.
