The Gospel is the only Book that our Lord wrote with His blood on Golgotha. He wrote it with His blood and signed it with His sacrifice on the Cross for the salvation of the world.

It is the written word of God. It consists of the four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John; the Acts of the Apostles; the 14 epistles of Apostle Paul; the 7 catholic epistles; concluding with the unique prophetic book, the Revelation of John the Evangelist.

The Holy Gospel, or New Testament, is a divinely inspired Book, as the Holy Spirit guided the pens of the sacred Evangelists and Apostles. Within its pages, the will of God is expressed, the Law of God is contained, as well as the life of the first Christian community and the life of the Church. The New Testament includes the new covenant of reconciliation between man and God.

This edition of the New Testament presents the original text and a parallel translation in the modern vernacular, which was made by the distinguished professors of the Theological Schools of the Universities of Thessaloniki and Athens: Ioannis Galanis, Ioannis Karavidopoulos, Petros Vasileiadis, and Georgios Galitis.
