All the nesting dolls, except for the smallest one, open up and reveal another doll inside.

Material: natural beech wood. Hand-painted with acrylic paints in an artistic design. The final surface is sealed with a water-based, safe varnish. The dolls are made of wood and are not recommended to be washed. If necessary, they can be wiped with a slightly damp cloth.

The nesting dolls are authentic, made in Russia, in the village of Voznesenskoye, Novgorod region. Nesting dolls, also known as Matryoshka dolls, are a set of wooden dolls placed one inside another. The name “matryoshka” derives from the Latin root “mater,” meaning “mother.” The word “babushka” in Russian means “grandmother.” Matryoshka dolls are a decorative item for home decoration.
