The preparation is easy on a stovetop: fill the bottom chamber with water, place the ground coffee in the filter, and heat on a gas or electric stove until the coffee rises. They produce rich crema with a typical operating pressure of around 2–3 bar. A coarser grind than an espresso machine coffee is recommended. Hand washing and removing coffee residues after each use are recommended.
