The nesting dolls in the classic Semenovskaya style originate from the town of Semyonov (Семёнов), east of Moscow. They are characterized by the Semenovskiy design depicting a young girl with a headscarf and a dress with a poppy pattern.
The set includes four dolls. All dolls, except for the smallest one, open and contain another doll inside them.
The final surface is covered with a safe water-based varnish. The dolls are made of wood and are not recommended to be washed. If necessary, they can be wiped with a slightly damp cloth. The dolls are handcrafted, and therefore the final painting and dimensions may vary slightly from those shown.
