The conference proceedings include contributions related to the concept of biographical false consciousness presented by Pierre Bourdieu. They examine constructions of personal or others' lives.

In addition to fundamental questions, autobiographical texts by specific authors (Joschka Fischer, M. Wolf, Th. Lessing, I. Seidel, E. Toller, M. Walser, M. Sperber, M. Fleißer, G. de Bruyn, among others) as well as biographies are discussed.
