The professional Portkeys BM7 II DS 7" monitor is designed for demanding video productions, providing an exceptionally bright Full HD display of 1920×1080 (2200 nits), visible even in full daylight. The 10-bit (8+2 FRC) panel, factory calibrated, ensures accurate color reproduction with 100% Rec.709 and 85% DCI-P3 coverage, 1000:1 contrast ratio, and a clean image without banding. The full aluminum case with a safety glass front, combined with its lightweight design (approximately 460 g), makes this monitor a durable and practical choice for camera rigs, gimbals, or on-set use.

The BM7 II DS offers extensive connectivity for professional workflows: HDMI In/Out, two 3G-SDI inputs, and one SDI output, with HDMI–SDI cross-conversion for easy integration into signal chains. It can simultaneously monitor two video sources via split-screen functions, including 16:9 and 9:16, useful for social media content. The display includes a complete suite of tools: waveform (including full-screen), histogram, zebra, false color (including ARRI), advanced focus with dedicated zone, zoom, guides/grids, image capture and overlay for continuity, anamorphic de-squeeze (1.33x/1.5x/2.0x and custom aspect ratio), load 3D LUTs via USB, and LUT application on HDMI/SDI outputs.

The power supply is flexible and efficient (approximately 15 W consumption), with dual slots for Sony NP-F batteries supporting hot-swap, plus 7.4–24 V inputs via 2-pin LEMO and 5.5 mm locking connector (D-Tap cable included). Additionally, the BM7 II DS can control compatible cameras via cable or wirelessly (2.4 GHz WiFi for RED and certain Sony models, Bluetooth for Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K/6K/6K Pro), as well as support for Tilta Nucleus N/M motor control, transforming the monitor into an effective on-set monitoring and control hub.
