Although India has achieved self-sufficiency in food grains, it needs to attain a higher growth rate. Fruit cultivation in India is one of the major commercial and business sectors for export. The mango is India's most important fruit. India exports mangoes and mango-based products to over 80 countries, making it a significant source of foreign exchange.
The concept of good agricultural practices can serve as a reference tool to decide, at each stage of the production process, practices and/or outcomes that are environmentally sustainable and socially acceptable. Recently, exports of quality mangoes from foreign countries have increased. To export quality mangoes, it is necessary to focus on export quality control measures.
This book contains information on mango producers, GLOBAL GAP certification, producers' issues, etc., based on my doctoral thesis. It is designed to be useful to new researchers, mango producers, educators, and extension agents to meet their needs.
