It was purchased in 2021 for an old computer with a faulty motherboard. It was the only choice for a socket 1150 since they are no longer available and it is the only one that remains. Generally, Biostar is underrated, but this does not apply to motherboards, unlike power supplies where the brand plays a role. In motherboards, they are all good, some are just more well-known and have a larger budget to make overkill in the higher categories of motherboards. Overall, we have a good motherboard for simple use, small in size, smaller than the average micro ATX, which may pose a challenge for those with small cases and large hands in installing components. On the other hand, when you install them and have experience, they breathe better since there is space in the case for air to circulate. It doesn't have many ports, only the basic ones. For example, it lacks a USB 3.0 connector for the USB 3.0 ports that the case may have. It also lacks the 6 audio jacks for 5.1 surround sound for the rear speakers and subwoofer, so it requires adjustment from the software to set them up. Additionally, it takes a 4-pin CPU connector, while the new power supplies have 4+4, so you may need to split it even though it will look like an 8-pin. Lastly, it has 1 slot for a case fan, so additional fans need to be connected directly to the power supply using Molex and, of course, at maximum speed since there will no longer be the ability to adjust them like the fans on the motherboard. In general, it is solid with good temperatures, has the basic connections, and there is no reason to worry about the brand. Of course, there are no other options available now, but it is worth it for anyone who wants to revive a PC so that it does not go to waste.
