The Pilot Japan writing pen combines luxury with technology. It was first manufactured in 1964, at a time when Pilot engineers were innovating for the Tokyo Olympic Games. It features a retractable mechanism that allows the nib to recede into the body of the pen when not in use.

Its body is made from durable cherry-stained birch wood, known for its hardness and long-lasting quality. The nib is gold, 18 carats, and is available in different writing widths. The trims are platinum-plated and the clip impresses with its quality and symmetry.

The nib extends with the push of the button at the top of the pen and is protected in the reverse manner. The pen features an absorption mechanism and discreetly bears the mark Pilot Japan on its body. Its length is 14 centimeters and its weight is 25 grams. The level of craftsmanship rivals Japanese philosophy.
