Katrin and her brother Lix follow in the footsteps of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. A children's violin, said to have been made for him, begins to play by itself and shine golden. It brings characters from The Magic Flute to life and makes nightmares come true.

At a garden party, the wild snake rages, and the Queen of the Night extinguishes all the lights. The evil spell on the violin must be broken, but only Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart himself can do it. The siblings must find him for that.
