Specifications and Installation Instructions

• Lengths: 2 m / 3 m
• Materials: HDPE + FRP (reinforced fiberglass)
• Adhesive: 3M type self-adhesive tape
• Compatibility: fiberglass (gelcoat) and some aluminum boats with relatively straight verticals
• Recommended primer (not included): 3M Tape Primer 94 for gelcoat/painted metals; for LSE plastics (PP/PE/TPO) use only 3M Adhesion Promoter 4298 (performance on PP/PE is limited)

Installation Instructions:

• Design: Place the tape cold on the vertical, mark the central axis and start/end points.
• Surface preparation: Lightly sand the bonding area with fine Scotch-Brite or P180-P220 sandpaper until uniformly matte; remove dust.
• Dehydration: Wipe with isopropyl alcohol and lint-free cloths; allow to fully evaporate.
• Primer: Cover edges and apply a very thin layer of 3M Tape Primer 94; wait about 5 minutes at room temperature until the film dries (apply 2 thin coats on porous surfaces). Avoid overuse.
• Working conditions: Ideal tape + substrate temperature 20-30°C (avoid extreme temperatures).
• Avoid gaps ~6 mm, areas with seams/sharp corners or high welds.
