Hot Streak is a board game for players who love to bet and cheer for the contestants, who in this case are mascots that may (or may not) run in the right direction. At the start of the game, the race track card is placed with one card for each mascot and a number of random cards depending on the number of players. These cards are revealed to all players, who then pick a betting coupon from those available. Next, players choose a second bet in reverse order. For each bet, you have the option to play it safe or choose the risky side, which can yield greater rewards or cost you money if lost. After betting, each player picks one of the three cards in their hand to secretly add to the race deck. The cards are shuffled, three cards are burned, and then the cards are revealed one by one from the deck, moving the mascots along the track, who may change lanes and knock over other contestants or turn upside down.
