"You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house." (Matthew 5:13-16)

Religion has been used by the state and has been among the earliest but also most effective systems of control. The State Church was not created to save, but to direct, to define what is allowed and what is forbidden, to decide who is worthy and who is not. And all this with the charming guise of "divine love," which, when distorted from its true meaning as given by Saint Apostle Paul, always ends up meaning obedience without questions or judgments.

The "lamp under the basket" means the light that is hidden or suppressed beneath a measure (basket), i.e., virtue, knowledge, or good that is not manifested and is concealed, instead of illuminating society.

In the spirit of the above, this study was written concerning settlements related to the name Modi, Khiliomodi, etc....
