Dosage: 70 gr. madder root for 15 eggs.
Medicinal properties: The root contains glycosides (ruberythric acid, asperuloside), citric acid, tannins and pectic substances, sugar, protein, and a small amount of fatty oil. The glycosides are reported to have anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic effects on the urinary system.
