Composition

  • Main Material: 100% natural silica gel crystals. This is an absolutely safe, non-toxic material with enormous absorbent capacity.
  • Scent: Natural (Unscented). The complete absence of artificial fragrances makes it extremely friendly and tolerable for cats that are bothered or discouraged by strong smells.
  • Form & Weight: Lightweight microcrystals (total package weight approximately 8.1 kg), which significantly facilitates transport and filling the tray compared to classic bentonite litter.

Instructions for Use and Best Practices

  • Preparation: Fill your cat's clean and dry litter box with an even layer of crystal cat litter, about 4 to 5 centimeters thick.

  • Daily Maintenance: Unlike clumping litter, crystal litter does not form clumps with urine. Every day, remove only the solid waste with the special scoop. Then, it is very important to mix the litter well. This helps moisture evaporate and ensures that all the crystals are used evenly, extending the litter's lifespan.

  • Litter Replacement: When most of the crystals change color (become yellow/opaque) and you start to notice odors in the area, this means the litter is saturated. At that point, you should completely empty the contents of the litter box into the trash.

  • Litter Box Cleaning: Before adding a new batch of litter, thoroughly wash the box with warm water and a mild, unscented cleaner. Make sure the box is completely dry, as any remaining moisture will prematurely activate the new crystals.

    I got the sand because one of my cats has asthma, as far as dust is concerned it definitely has much less than the classic sand. It is the first crystal one I tried so I didn't know what to expect, but overall it's okay. It took my cats a while to get used to it and it's still not their favorite but it is what it is. Not much sand comes out of the box so that's good, but when it does, because it's transparent and large, it hurts a little when you step on it lol and it turns into dust. It lasted a long time, but after a while it has a very strong ammonia smell which is logical because you only collect the bad ones. I don't know if it will be my favorite.
