Split-Plit, a monster of urban legend who pries apart every hole and crevice in sight.
Jin, a young man living in a small Japanese town, finds himself united with Gao, a soldier of the British Empire who was driven from his home by Catherine, Night of Typhoons. One day, when the tiny Split-Plit grows to monstrous size and runs amok, Gao is forced to choose between his military's policy of exterminating the Nights and the Japanese desire to coexist with them.
How will he navigate this fundamental difference in values? And even if he and Jin dance the Kagura, can they really protect the town from this unthinkable threat...?!
