In the middle of the 19th century, two trends dominated the still young Greek kingdom: the first argued that we should rely on our glorious past, hoping that foreigners would offer everything to our country dazzled by ancient glory, while the second believed that we should first stand firmly on our feet, become a state, and then showcase the achievements of our divine ancestors to achieve global recognition.
These opposing views are expressed by the two central characters, the brothers Aristodemus and Dimitrakis, who are in constant conflict with each other. Who is right? The author provides the answer in an allegorical way.
