Description

The compact telescope with a 70 mm objective lens is suitable for beginners in astronomy and also functions as a portable travel telescope. Its AZ2 mount is simple to use and easy to learn. With the small size of the 70/500 model, it is easy to operate even for children, making it easier to locate objects in the sky. The magnification provided by the 25 mm and 10 mm eyepieces is 20x and 50x, respectively, and can be extended with additional optional eyepieces (up to approximately 125x). Deep-sky objects such as star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies, as well as Solar System bodies, can be observed. The Moon, in particular, presents a stunning view with many craters and surface features. Planets like Jupiter and Saturn are visible, showing Jupiter's moons and Saturn's rings. The phases of Venus and the disk of Mars can also be seen, and magnification can be increased further without blurring the image. Uranus and Neptune appear as stars. With the appropriate filter, it is possible to observe sunspots on the surface of the Sun; however, direct observation of the Sun without a filter is prohibited. Bright star clusters, galaxies, and nebulae can be explored on a dark sky. The package includes two eyepieces (10 and 25 mm), while the purchase of additional standard eyepieces allows the full range of magnifications from 12x to 120x. The provided 90-degree zenith mirror makes observation easier, and the focuser features a standard rack-and-pinion 31.7 mm thread. The 70 mm diameter objective lens with a 500 mm focal length offers excellent color correction and image sharpness, along with multi-coated anti-reflective coatings to improve image contrast. The AZ2 tripod is easy to handle and facilitates aiming, making it suitable for children aged 8-10 years and older.
