Description

Discover ultimate grinding precision with the coffee grinder Rohnson R-98095, designed for those who want to enjoy freshly ground coffee with professional results at home.

Featuring a grinding system with conical burrs, 75 precision settings, and the ability to grind directly into the portafilter, it offers complete control and consistency with every brew.

The anti-static technology, automatic and manual time control, and sleek minimal design combine perfectly, making it the ideal companion for every espresso and every favorite coffee blend.

Conical Blades & 75 Grind Settings

The R-98095 conical burr system ensures uniform grinding, preserving the aromas and natural oils of the beans, while reducing heat buildup during the process. Anti-Static Technology

The advanced anti-static technology significantly reduces coffee retention inside the grinder and at the outlet, ensuring a cleaner dispense and more accurate dosing. This means less waste, consistent results, and a clean countertop after each use.

Magnetic Precision System

Designed for maximum compatibility, the R-98095 supports 51/54mm and 58mm portafilters, covering most household and semi-professional espresso machines. It features magnetic support for stable placement during grinding, as well as magnetic coffee collection rings that reduce "chaos" in your workspace.

Keeps your coffee fresh and ready for grinding, while the transparent design allows for immediate monitoring of the quantity.

Ground Coffee Container 84g

Practical and ergonomic, it allows you to store the right amount of ready coffee, ensuring easy handling and clean transfer.

Full Grinding Control

The ergonomic rotary switch allows precise adjustment of the grinding time from 5 to 60 seconds. Choose the automatic mode for consistent results or the manual mode for full control of your dose.

Owner for 2 weeks now. I come from a simple electric grinder. This gadget is a quality leap. It has features (e.g. the anti-static parts + the blower for the residues) that take it to another level and I haven't seen them elsewhere! It really needs attention when assembling, because for me too it didn't work immediately and I remembered the friend who mentioned it. I paid attention and everything clicked in just fine. I never store beans in the container, I only put in what I need each time and grind. It hasn't retained any residue. For the Dedica and the pressurized basket, the setting is at 13. Below 5 it would choke and wouldn't even come out. I attach the basket to the holder, put on the magnetic ring, and nothing flies left or right! Now with this machine I can understand the different qualities of coffee! For its price, it's super! Now I have to try the non-pressurized ones (even though now I get amazing results) and the Brikka, which require different settings.

First day with the Rohnson electric grinder.
It seems to pair perfectly with the Rohnson Suprema r98300.
First impressions are excellent. Plastic body but with a very nice matte finish. It comes with all the necessary accessories, covering everything from cheap home espresso machines with small portafilters to more expensive ones with heavy professional 58mm portafilters (see Suprema).

I won’t go into much detail about the technical specs, but mainly about the use and of course the taste. Even though it’s the first day, I managed to get familiar with it very quickly, almost without suffering a caffeine OD.

    Usage:

Very easy! The magnetic accessories are, as we say, "satisfying"... They snap on very easily and as firmly as needed. The spout hardly retains any ground coffee because it’s anti-static. It’s absolutely safe because if you don’t attach all the parts correctly, it simply won’t work... For 3 minutes I was worried on the first try. Make sure you have locked the safety in the hopper correctly and it has clicked.
Unfortunately, I realized that the stand can’t hold the heavy stainless steel portafilter of the Suprema upright. Then I realized that if I hold it by hand, I get better distribution of coffee inside the portafilter and avoid wasted coffee on the counter. A quick WDT, leveling, and then tamp!
It’s important to use the bellows with a scale and single-dose grinding. This way you control the retention of coffee inside the grinding system and the staling of the beans! Retention is minimal! Not even a gram... So it’s good to grind, for example, 18.1g if you want a clean 18g in extraction. Press the bellow decisively and you’ll see the last residues come out.

    Grind settings:

Hmm... I did the ultimate test... I put in the most stubborn light roast I had, grown at 1800m altitude. Very hard beans. The nightmare of every grinder. A batch that even my KINGrinder K6 struggles to grind fine enough to reach 9 bar. So, at the lowest setting, it ground it very well but not as fine as needed... Don’t worry, for a bit it didn’t manage with 18g. With 20g in the grinder and then in the portafilter, it would easily reach 9 bar! In short?... If you throw in your worst beans, increase the grams and it will manage!
A note here... I use a flat high extraction IMS basket. If you have your machine’s stock basket, you don’t need to grind THAT fine, so it will work PERFECTLY. If you have an espresso machine with pressurized baskets, you don’t need to know any of the above, ignorance in this case is bliss :)

    Taste:
I grind the beans straight from the freezer, already stored in 18g single-dose tubes. They are ground directly while frozen for better distribution, fewer fines, and a cleaner cup taste. Here too, the grinder managed to give me a balanced taste in classic Italian dark roast espresso. I didn’t notice more bitterness... It preserved the coffee’s aromas and overall the feeling was balanced. Generally, conical grinders do better with medium dark roasts. Flat burrs bring out light roasts better. Compared to my amazing KINGrinder K6, I think it gave me a rounder taste and fewer flavor spikes. I’ll work a bit more with medium-light roasts and come back for an update. A video will follow too.

    Conclusion:

So what are you waiting for? Get it! (The grinder)
If you also have the Rohnson Suprema r98300, it’s a perfect pair. It’s not the best grinder in the galaxy... There are €5,000 grinders! But what I think Rohnson has made clear is the value for money! For its price, it’s simply an amazing grinder. At the same price, there’s no competition.

Espresso wasn’t born for yuppies to show off... It was born out of the need for quick pleasure for workers as they go to their jobs. Focus on the essence... And the essence is that even the cheapest devices become valuable when you enjoy offering and sharing what they give you. That’s what coffee is...

And lastly... If you’re interested in joining the community I’ve created on Facebook "Rohnson Suprema Espresso Lab", to share and get information about the SUPREMA and espresso in general, we’re waiting for you here:

Amazing tool for its price! Very good quality materials, sturdy construction, relatively quiet compared to cheaper options. Made a huge difference in the result with Delonghi Dedica.
