Excellent upgrade from my previous one (DR-44WL). The 32-bit gives great headroom, I just start recording and don't set up anything. Lower noise on the preamps compared to previous generations, which is important. Works perfectly as a 'sound card' too, which means I carry one less device for quick recordings - with the downside in this mode that it only records up to 24-bit, instead of 32, and you can't have both the front microphones and the XLR inputs active. Not a big deal - after all, no one buys it for that anyway.
