The wireless optical component (1.25") with illuminated crosshair Plössl 9 mm from Meade's 4000 series is a specially designed optical element for long-exposure astrophotography aiming. It includes a high-quality Plössl optical with 4 fully coated elements and a fully illuminated double crosshair aiming reticle with two concentric aiming circles. Designed for use with Meade's non-axial alignment sighting device. The optical component features precise micrometric controls for X–Y position adjustment to facilitate star aiming. The auxiliary red LED night vision lighting is controlled by a brightness regulator and on/off button, powered by small internal watch batteries (included). Comes with an elastic flange for comfort and to block stray light.
