Description

The fourth book in the series that follows the adventures of Natalie, an ordinary girl in preadolescence, with the joys, concerns, and anxieties of children of this age.

For Natalie, the school year starts off difficult. Every child has to join a club or team, and her two best friends easily find activities that interest them. Flo tries puppetry and Zoe joins the volleyball team, together with Natalie’s former best friend, Lily! So now Zoe and Lily are always together. Natalie feels betrayed and, on top of that, she still hasn’t found a team she’s interested in. But when she meets a new student who is also struggling to choose an activity, they decide to start a new team together. Could this be the solution to her problems?

If you are looking for a funny book that is easy to read and deals with issues that concern preteens, then the Wonderful Nat series is for you. And readers who feel that only they face similar difficulties will realize that this is far from the truth.
Comics Beat

Scrivan's lively, comic-like illustrations and simple dialogues will captivate a wide range of readers, who will identify with Nat's insecurities.
School Library Journal

Scrivan's cartoonish illustrations are vibrant and colorful and contribute to a graphic novel that is full of humor, but also makes you think.
Booklist

One of the strengths of the Wonderful Nat series is the way Maria Scrivan uses the experience she has gained as a newspaper cartoonist… Truly delightful.
