Island Hopper is a cooperative and strategy board game where players sell goods across a chain of beautiful tropical islands. All players invest in buying a seaplane to make deliveries, but this plan has its challenges. It needs to be used daily, and its condition is poor, with broken tools, a demagnetized compass, and damage to the reader. Each day, there is a bidding for the Captain’s position. The Captain is responsible for the flights but cannot deliver goods for themselves.
For their deliveries, the other players bribe the Captain to fly to the islands they need. When it's time for the flight, the Captain closes their eyes, chooses their goods tokens, and tries to load them into an island port. A successful landing allows players to fulfill their contracts and the Captain to collect their bribe. However, if the goods end up in the sea, players might find themselves in a tough spot.
