In a previous edition of this publication, published in April 2021, which included the new Bankruptcy Code of law 4738/2020, the author had predicted that "even the new law, with obvious defects, unfortunately more numerous than the abolished one, will quickly undergo a wave of changes."

Indeed, law 4818/2021 (Government Gazette A’ 124/18.7.2021) initiated an initial wave of changes through its provisions, in an effort to correct the initial mistakes.

This was followed by many more changes – which do not seem to have an end – primarily through laws 4821/2021 (Government Gazette A’ 134/31.7.2021), 4916/2022 (Government Gazette A’ 65/28.3.2022), 4978/2022 (Government Gazette A’ 190/7.10.2022), 5024/2023 (Government Gazette A’ 41/24.2.23), 5043/2023 (Government Gazette A’ 91/13.4.2023), 5072/2023 (Government Gazette A’ 198/4.12.2023), 5193/2025 (Government Gazette A’ 56/11.4.2025), 5222/2025 (Government Gazette A’ 134/28.7.2025), 5224/2025 (Government Gazette A’ 142/5.8.2025), as well as Presidential Decree 17/2023 (Government Gazette A’ 35/20.2.2023), Joint Ministerial Decisions 4009, 4027, 4041 (Government Gazette B’ Issues 61, 75, and 76 of 2022).

The changes continued with the most recent laws 5104/2024 (Government Gazette A’ 58/19.4.2024), 5113/2024 (Government Gazette A’ 96/21.6.2024), and 5259/2025 (Government Gazette A’ 228/12.12.2025). All these changes are recorded in this updated edition.
